Honeymoon B&B in Plett

In the December holidays we enjoyed a romantic weekend away at a honeymoon B&B in Plett.

We woke up every morning to private, panoramic views over Plettenberg Bay’s lagoon and beachfront. What more could we ask for?

We love finding secret spots in the Garden Route, especially those we feel passionate enough about to recommend onto others. This route in South Africa boasts some of the country’s most naturally beautiful coastlines and this Bed & Breakfast heroes exactly that.

Above and beyond the views, were the staff. They went out of their way to help us. From organising our baggage and some tea when we unintentionally arrived well before check-in, to helping us navigate some of the best attractions around Plett.

The Best Views of Plettenberg Bay’s Lagoon

The breakfast balcony and the swimming pool area both overlook the above view. We really appreciate hotels and lodges that ensure all guests have access to their best views, no matter what room is booked.

Besides the views and friendly staff, I think one of our major highlights was the breakfast. Everything they served, from the Eggs Benedict to the welcome cocktails were divine and so well presented.

They also offer private dinners on your balcony which we feel adds to their honeymoon appeal.

The Honeymoon Suite

This penthouse suite was our perfect hideaway within central Plett. From our private veranda we were able to enjoy the views with our last glass of wine and first morning coffee every day.

Although this five star lodge may not necessarily have the most “modern” decor, it is absolutely aimed at comfort and service.

It is a small B&B which we believe adds to it’s appeal. We’ve visited more expensive, larger hotels around the area and this spot just really made us feel at home and well cared for in comparison.
