Salem Domestic Guesthouse in Manila

We booked this guesthouse for a quick overnight stop in Manila before traveling to El Nido the next day. This guesthouse is situated opposite the airport’s Terminal 4 making it a short 2 minute walk over the bridge, no taxi needed. It is also a short 5 minute taxi drive from Terminal 2. Therefore, it is ideal if you have an early morning flight the next day.

However in our case, we didn’t look properly at our Cebu Pacific booking and assumed our flight was departing from Terminal 4. We arrived there only to be told by the security guard that our flight was actually departing from Terminal 3. We rushed outside and got into the first available taxi as we were told it was a 30 minute taxi drive to Terminal 3 (and 400 Pesos later). We arrived at Terminal 3 just in time to board our Cebu Pacific flight to Puerto Princesa Airport. How crazy that you have to catch a taxi from one terminal to the next?!

The Room

December 2015: We stayed in a double bed private room with a private bathroom for 2500 Pesos per room per night. The guesthouse has very basic rooms designed for convenience. We had a comfortable sleep before our early flight the next morning.
